Transporting, transgressive Transamerica
by emdashesIf you haven't seen Transamerica, get to it! It's worth seeing in the theater for the same reason it's worth seeing Brokeback Mountain with your fellow random Americans. There will be gasps. It's fantastic to see jaded people making giant leaps in their understanding of sexuality and the world.

The film isn't due out in the UK until March - but, for sure, I'll see it as soon as I get the chance. Maybe I'll be appraising Felicity Huffman's performance with a keener eye than most members of the audience - but, from what I've seen (just the trailer) and read, she's nailed it. She already had my admiration for her role in the series "Sports Night" - it seems she's pulled off an even more remarkable achievement here.

The flick has finally arrived in our little sourthern college town and I do believe we will head out to see it this weekend. If we don't succomb to laziness and bloggyness.
I'm more interested in people watching than the movie, to tell you the truth. ~Denise
