I will admit that I always want to know where people live. When I read someone’s blog, I think that geographic location is relevant and gives context. Also, I am nosy. I usually have a (paper!) Atlas hanging around when I am watching television so I can make sure I know what city or country is being talked about in a show or documentary. When I am online I check out an online atlas so I can see where my new pal (or even old pal) is writing from. In preparation for BlogHer I thought it would be cool to see where my fellow attendees are writing from when not at the conference.
I will start with where I am writing my blog from. I don’t mean to point any fingers (okay, I guess I am pointing a little), but Americans often don’t know where we Canucks are in relation to where they are. Lets just say that Niagara Falls is REALLY far from the Rocky Mountains. You know I still love you though right?
OK, I am in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We are the capital city of my province, Alberta, and are currently enjoying prosperity because of oil prices and fake or real or imagined scarcity of fossil fuels. We get more sunlight hours than any other Canadian city. ([Edmonton] enjoys 2,263.7 hours of sunlight in the average year, more than any other major Canadian city. More exciting weather facts here. Encarta has a nice map for checking out other parts of the world.
Here I am on a map! Ok, here is Edmonton on a map, you probably can’t see me. I am waving to you! Helllooo!

Tell us where you are! Give a linky to a map or blog post in the comments.
Don’t forget about some of the great t-shirts that BlogHers are creating. I have a few more people to add to the list of t-shirts makers. Check them out!
Elizabeth, from table4five has designed some shirts available here
Shuna Lydon from eggbeater, the most excellent food blog, also has her awesome eggbeater shirts available for print again. You can see them at her http://eggbeater.typepad.com/shuna/e_g_g_b_e_a_t_e_r_garnishes_clothing/...
">website.
Mrs. Eden Kennedy still has fabulous Fussy shirts available on her blog.
LET ME KNOW! Sorry for yelling, but let me know if you or someone you know and/or love is selling shirts.
