BlogHer announces the virtual expansion of BlogHer ’07, already the world’s largest blogging conference, to Second Life this July

Building on the success of its previous two sold-out conferences, BlogHer ‘07 is moving East and into the virtual world with a simultaneous conference occurring in Second Life.

PALO ALTO, June 19, 2007 - BlogHer, Inc. (http://www.blogher.com), the Web’s number one guide to women bloggers, is pleased to announce plans to bring its 2007 conference to Second Life (http://www.secondlife.com). BlogHer Second Life will be hosted by Erin Kotecki Vest’s Queen of Spain Blog (http://queenofspainblog.com). Besides blogging for Queen of Spain Blog, Erin writes for the Huffington Post, and is also a BlogHer contributing editor, covering politics and news for the community hub at http://www.blogher.com.

BlogHer Second Life will offer the opportunity to experience the Chicago conference live on a virtual platform, complete with general sessions, audio feeds, and even a virtual cocktail party! Similar to BlogHer ‘07 in Chicago, the BlogHer Second Life virtual conference will feature an interactive format designed to inspire discussion.

BlogHer ’07, themed “A World of Difference,” will take place July 27-29, 2007 in Chicago. The event will include both general sessions and break-out sessions across a range of topics. On July 29, BlogHer will hold a “BlogHer Open Space” event, where attendees will create the agenda on site in real time.
