Elizabeth Edwards: In the news and coming to BlogHer '07

Elizabeth Edwards This week presidential candidate John Edwards' wife, Elizabeth Edwards, has been in the news, including here on BlogHer, where a lively conversation has been taking place since yesterday afternoon.

Also this week: We were also able to confirm that Mrs. Edwards will be attending BlogHer '07 as part of our Closing Keynote on Saturday July 28th.

Blogging and social media have changed the lives of individuals and entire industries. And it has certainly changed the lives of those in politics. We're looking forward to hearing from Elizabeth Edwards what it has meant for her personally, and as someone on the political trail, to hear the voices of so many disparate people...and to be able to share her voice directly, as she has done this week.

This is such great news, I was already excited about Chicago, and now I am ecstatic! I have always had a lot of respect for Elizabeth Edwards, and after the courage and decorum she showed with her call to HardBall the other day...my respect for her has only grown.

Elizabeth Edwards is the kind of woman that we can all hope our young girls will grow to emulate. And I hope I will have an opportunity to thank her for that in Chicago. Her children have so much to be proud of in their mother.
