Empowering social activities by making podcasts & releasing songs on iTunes!
by Tajee

I'm a panelist on the Audio segment of the Advanced Multimedia Lab session at BlogHer.
I'm an audio and video podcaster from Japan. I've been so lucky to have chances to talk about how to use podcasting for social activities as one of the active podcasters. I make auido/video podcasts to encourage volunteer organizations and eco activisties. I also have my songs on iTunes, and the income will be donation for orphans in Asian countires.

I work for a podcasting company called Voice-Bank, Inc. We have a portal website for individual podcasters, and we also provide the system with companies. We have original aggregation software like iTunes, but you can sync with PSP, too. The software will be helpful for video bloggers and podcasters with the new function of uploading from Xacti, SANYO digital movie cameras. We're a member of "Xacti2.0 Project" in Japan. I was a host for Xacti events in San Francisco in June 2007.

About my podcasts:

1, Reporting what's going on orphans in the Philippines, and interview the volunteer team. Reporting how they built great relationship by visiting annually. (audio)

2, Reporting charity marathon which the volunteer group held in May 2006(audio)

3, Reporting charity marathon which the volunteer group held in May 2007(video)

4, Gathering donation for the children by selling a song on iTunes. The title is "Clover" and the song is produced by Neo-World.

My personal goal is empowering podcasting for NGO, NPO, volunteer and social activities
because people in those fields generally can not afford to make commercials or continue advertising, but they're doing
great things with positive passion. I think their activities should be paid more attention wherever they act because the world is getting smaller. I hope podcasting will be
great media to report and gather more attention across the world even to make money or recruit people.
