I'm a scientist turned stay-at-home-mom, always looking for something fun and exciting to do with the kids. Widget is almost 3; Little Bear is only 6 months old. Dad and the dog round out our busy house of boys. We laugh, we play, we build, and we learn. Welcome to my world, Toddler Planet.
Last month, I went to the doctor because my breast "felt funny." I thought it might be mastitis, because I'd had difficulties nursing my newborn. Two weeks later, we were told that it was cancer. Inflammatory breast cancer. This is the fastest-growing, most aggressive form of breast cancer, and treatment must start immediately.
I'm 34. I have two baby boys. I also have cancer, and I'm navigating the new world of chemotherapy while parenting my boys. Luckily, I have friends and blogfriends, and we're going through this together.
Want to come along? I'd love to have you visit Toddler Planet, at http://toddlerplanet.wordpress.com and say hello. You can even join the team of women helping me go through this, if you like.
I had to cancel my trip to BlogHer, but I'll be cheering you all on in spirit, from back home --
Toddler Planet.
