Several years ago, my husband came home with a travel catalogue from some fancy (read: very expensive) tour company. One of the trips that you could book was a week of penguin watching in Antarctica. (This was before "March of the Penguins" made penguins super-popular.) I was completely captivated, and decided that some day, I would do it.
I'm not clear who the well-traveled voice behind Travelblips is, but I bow to her in awe. She seems to be an Australian woman who has traveled and worked in more places than I can imagine. After visiting her family in London (one of my favorite places!), she hit the road, air, and sea and is now exploring Antarctica! I can't wait to read more about her adventures with friendly penguin chicks (aw!), ice bergs, crab seals, and of all things, rain.
