A week of "blog activism days"

BlogHer Original Post

A few weeks ago our intrepid Feminism & Gender contributing editor, Melinda Casino, urged us all to participate in the Blog Against Sexism Day occurring this Tuesday. Consider this a little reminder. Plus...

She closed by saying:

Frankly, I can't get enough of these blog activism days, and I hope you can't either! Please consider participating - every blog entry counts in spreading awareness about sexism.

So, in the spirit of never getting enough, I pass along this message about another blog activism day happening this week, coming to us from BlogHer Dina Mehta:

The Blank Noise Project (a collablog around sexual harrassment on the streets) has set up a Blog-a-thon on March 7, (its International Women's Day on March 8th) ... i've also posted about it here . Thought this might interest BlogHers ... and I do hope they will participate !

A few more details about the Blog-a-thon:

Blank Noise is asking other bloggers to post about their experiences of sexual harassment - as a victim, perpetrator or bystander - at work, at home or in the public sphere. Or deal with the subject anyway you like.

It makes for a busy beginning of your week, but i hope you'll consider participating in both of these blog activism days.
