BlogHer '06: Whose T-shirt Will You Be Wearing?

It's no secret. Women all over the Interweb are already trying to figure out what they will wear to BlogHer '06. Anne from The Barely Attentive Mother has her shoes and Jess from Drowning in Kids is looking for style help.

I've got an idea! Why not wear a T-shirt made by your favorite blogger? Some of these T-shirts advertise a blog, some of them provide a key to the maker's blogging philosophy, and some of them are just plain funny. Here are just a handful of bloggers with T-shirts.

Jenn from Mommy Needs Coffee sells a T-shirt that promises "I won't get mad or try to get even... But I will blog you!"

Eden from Fussy created a T-shirt that was a big hit after last year's BlogHer conference. She has only a handful of her classic "Writing well is the best revenge" T-shirts left. But don't worry, her new one that simply reads, "Fussy," is sure to become a new classic.

Radical Mommyblogger Tracey aka Sweetney is selling T-shirts that proclaim, "I'm a frickin' Mommyblogger. (Bite me)."

Karen from Chookoloonks has an entire line of products, from T-shirts to onesies to bibs, and she donates 100% of the proceeds from the sale of her products directly to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

Unfortunately, everybody's favorite blogger Heather B. Armstrong does not have a T-shirt, but if you are creative, you can make a T-shirt (of sorts) using photos of her dog Chuck taken from her calendar. That will certainly turn some heads at BlogHer and may even get you a mention on Heather's blog Dooce.

Do you have a T-shirt advertising your blog? Leave a comment and let those of us still undecided on what we will wear to the BlogHer '06 conference know where we can find your goods.

Not interested in wearing a T-shirt advertising somebody else's blog or philosophy? Make one advertising your own! To make a T-shirt featuring a word cloud of key words from your blog, check out Snap Shirts. If you have Photoshopping skills, create some artwork and use Cafe Press or Zazzle to produce your shirt.

See you (and your T-shirt) at BlogHer '06!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one spending valuable braintime thinking about T-shirts! :)

Not a BlogHer shirt, but I was stunned when my son, a non blogger, wore this one:

Ok, I won't be making tshirts through cafepress... but I have decided to head over to Dharma, pick up some supplies and start designing/dyeing/painting my own tshirts.

Now to figure out a pithy saying to batik on...

I have one with books, boobs, and high heels... "My bookshelves can beat up your bookshelves" ( http://www.goodstorm.com/item/badgerbag/flaunt_you... ). Goodstorm had the best deal on tshirts that I could find and I like their philosophy.

It has the url for badgerbag underneath the woman lounging on the book.

I started selling these about 3 months ago and people actually BUY THEM! (I'm so proud *sniff*)

There are several designs for women, bloggers, moms and even a token Dad shirt so the pants don't feel left out :)

All proceeds ($1 per shirt) goes to the postpartum depression charity "Depression After Delivery".

I have a lot of blogger's shirts--I love them! I couldn't possibly choose one, so like everyone else will most likely wind up in one of my own, with artwork by Sheryl at Papernapkin and Ellen and Reign of Ellen. Some slogans, front and back, are:
"LIFE: It's coming right AT me."
"Motherhood: Who's got YOUR back?"
"Because the laundry never stops."
"The real job starts when I get home from work."

The slogans are actually secondary to the designs, so they're mostly for fun. I expect them actually to be bought more by poodle people (who are lovable lunatics, myself included) than bloggers!

Well, I have t-shirts that are somewhat blog related ~ and all proceeds go to a charity of the month. This month it's the American Cancer Society. I try to at least send the charity $20 before I switch over to a new one.

As for what to wear at blogher, I think we all need t-shirts with our front screens or at least blog headers - and our nametags should have our blog pseudonyms - otherwise, how will we know who anyone is?

You can find my t-shirts by visiting my site. A link to my Zazzle account is there. I have a few Blogher specific ones, too! My favorite is "BLOGHER '06: I'm boring in real life, too."

Great idea for a topic, thank you!

I'm sorry, Mir! And, can I just say that your T-shirt slogans are reminding me that I don't do enough kegels. Honestly, so funny! Thank you for stopping by and reminding us of your goodness, which also is available for sale.

All I gotta say is, thank god for the layered look.

Mary, I can't believe you forgot me. ;) I have Woulda Coulda Shoulda shirts available here ( http://www.cafepress.com/woulda ).

The "regular" adult shirts come in either "It's not a regret, it's an experience" or "I'm not really a neurotic, but I play one on the internet." The children's shirts feature the Chickadee/Monkey logo with "Put some more money in the therapy fund" on the back.

I also have special edition breast cancer themed shirts whose proceeds go directly into my Susan G. Komen 3-Day fund.

And y'all better buy them and wear them to BlogHer or I'll cry. ;)

Doh!

The Mommybloggers (Jenn, Jennie, and Meghan) have some AWESOME and excellent T-shirts over at mommybloggers.com ( http://www.mommybloggers.com ), including one designed specifically for BlogHer '06 ("What happens at BlogHer '06...Stays at BlogHer '06").

PLUS proceeds from the sale of their shirts will go towards their "send a blogger to BlogHer '06" fund.

I have 3 up right now.

Design one: Has "Plural or Possessive?" on the front and "Suck it, Uber Mom's" on the back

Design 2: "The Cult of Motherhood" front and on the back "Don't Drink the Koolaid"

Design 3: A photo I took in a Mexican cantina in Maine that says "Wicked Hot" front - and on back "You can't look away"

I'm very proud of them.
