Photoblogs: what are your favorites?

While surfing the blog-world, I see many photoblogs. Some are extremely good at what they do, and some display so many pictures of food, I'm left hungry.

Well I'm hungry, people! I'm looking for excellent photoblogging women to add to the BlogHer Blogroll. Please add them to the Blogroll, or put them in the comments below and I'll do it for you. Thanks!

On a side note: In an effort to put his own perspective out there, my 7 year old son, Dylan, a.k.a. Slapshot, requested use of my brand new Sony Cybershot and has started his own photoblog. It's getting great response and it's fun to encourage his hobby.

Dylan is looking for other kids to join a spin-off of Digery Doo. Interested Moms and Dads can sign their kids up at didgerydoo@gmail.com. No personal information required - just a screen name and photos will do fine. In the interest of safety, that is all that will be published anyway.

Susan,

I have a separate (okay, 3) photoblog and a separate (4, actually) blog. On my main site, there is a separate space for a photoblog and blog. I do have a photo (or video) in every blog post but I use flickr for that - and just write my blog entries from there instead of my dashboard (although I use my admin dashboard to tweak it to make it just right).

So, yes, I think you can have your cake and eat it, too.

Is there anything wrong with photoblogging and blogging at the same time? I tried for awhile to post a photo with every entry, but lately I've been too busy with work to take photos, like I want to - but yet I really would like to lean towards photoblogging and still post at the same time. Can I have my cake and eat it too?

I've been a part of the photoblogs.org community for nearly 2 years now. Some of the blogs above are run by men - just an fyi. Wasn't sure if you put them in the blogrolls or not.

I have lot's and lot's of favorites. I probably peruse 50 photoblogs a day, if not more. I had actually written to Lisa yesterday to ask if this was the proper place to put a photoblog. I'm so glad you're starting this up!

I have 3 of my own and a flickr account. My main photoblog is life inchoate ( http://www.girl-inchoate.com/photos ).

Darn,

I had a whole folder of photo blogs on my Blogroll that I deleted accidently.

But some of my faves:
A Walk Through Durham Township ( http://www.durhamtownship.com/index.html ) (check out March 24th.)

TinyLand ( http://tinyland.my-expressions.com/ ) Miniaturized Life.

Express Train ( http://www.travisruse.com/ ) Photos taken in the NYC Subway while commuting.

Red Shoe Ramglings 365 Days ( http://debrichardson365days.blogspot.com/ ).

You can find a whole bunch of them at PhotoBlogs ( http://beta.photoblogs.org/ ) which is where I often start when looking for new inspiration.

heather powazek champ ( http://www.hchamp.com/ ). Well known, and well deserved!

Shelley's photos ( http://weblog.burningbird.net/category/adventure/ ) are also beautiful, though I suppose since she writes so much it probably doesn't count as a photoblog.

One of my absolute favs is the Aussie photoblog Jinky Art. ( http://blog.jinkyart.com.au/ ) Barb is amazingly talented in capturing light, color and the playfullness of kids.

I most certainly don't count myself amoung her ranks, but on a related note, I have started a food photography blog (Still Life With... ( http://www.stilllifewith.com/ )) that gives pointers on how to take better food photos. While it's not exactly a photoblog, it may be interesting for people who are working on developing their skills.

I only wish I had more time to snap pix, post them and check out other photoblogs. This one is mine ( http://scatteredsunshine.com ). It gets something like 3 hits a day, in a good week. Maybe I should take the hint.
