Want to help children in Belize? The Jaden Foundation needs your help

BlogHer Original Post

Here's a fantastic little charity located in the Caribbean country of Belize -- The Jaden Foundation. Founded by Simone Engeln, author of Simone's Belize Blog and a former MTV-VJ, The Jaden Foundation is a non-profit, non-faith based organization aimed at improving the lives of Belizean children through education, vocational training and scholarships.

Currently, The Jaden Foundation is in desperate need of funds, particularly to help get the children transportation two and from school. In addition, Simone is currently on a mission to get as many of the children registered in a local school which is linked with a registered charity in the U.S. You can read all about her reasons why here.

If you're interested in sponsoring one of the children, here's how (in Simone's words):

If any of you blog readers out there would like to sponsor one of the kids, please contact me (at simone@greendragonbelize.com). You could even donate directly to the school, so the donations are tax deductible (rather give it to these kids than the tax man, right?)

Thank you,
