Announced so late

It's unfortunate that the winners aren't announced until July 1st. I think it would be difficult for a lot of people to make child care, work, etc. arrangements that quickly.

I work at Wiley and just want to mention that we'll be contacting the winner at the beginning of June. We are waiting to announce the winner until July, but hopefully a month and a half will be adequate for making arrangements.

a couple of questions

1-The nominee must be a resident of the US. Does the person doing the nominating have to live in the US, too?

2- The nominator must be a member of BlogHer. Must the nominee be a member, too?

Clear as mud?

I am a Canadian BlogHer member, wishing to nominate a Hero who lives in the US but whom I don't think is a member of BlogHer. Can I do that?

Hi Laurie:

It's only who the prize goes to (the trip) that must be in the U.S., you may nominate away.

Also, I don't believe either the nominator or the nominee has to be a registered member. I just went to the rules to check myself and couldn't find any clause requiring it, but you're the second person to ask about it, so it must be somewhere I'm missing?

legal language confusion

Sorry for all of the confusion on the guidelines! Just to clarify, anyone can nominate a blog (not just BlogHer members), but only US residents can BE nominated.
