Hakia Asks BlogHer!

Dear amazing women of BlogHer, We are building a new search engine to deliver quality in search. Come and test drive us at hakia.com with your health queries. How did we do? Tell us by clicking on the “feedback” button on our search results page. Give us your feedback and be part of something new!

For us, a quality search result simultaneously satisfies three criteria: It (1) comes from credible, librarian-recommended sources (verticals); it (2) represents the most recent, freshest information available; and, it (3) is absolutely relevant to your query. For example, to ensure credibility in Health vertical, hakia provides results from sources that have met the quality criteria set forth by the Medical Library Association. We are continuously adding more vertical content and more verticals. We want searchers to benefit from a different worldview on Web information --not just what is popular. What do YOU want? If you don’t have time to fill out the survey, look out for us at the BlogHer '08 Conference to give us feedback or your piece of mind. We will be there! See you at the conference and happy searching at hakia.com, Ms. Melek Pulatkonak President & COO hakia.com

Dear amazing women of BlogHer,

BlogHer ’07 was an overwhelming and invigorating experience for me, a place to literally soak in the positive energy.
Many of the amazing women I met had stretched their budgets to attend the conference. So this year, hakia would like to take the funds we would normally use to exhibit and instead send YOU to soak in BlogHer ‘08.
Enjoy the conference!

Happy searching at hakia.com,

Who one these great prizes?

Cheers to More Winners Prize Winner

I won one of the tshirts which they sent along with a cd of some searching music (or music to listen to while searching?). I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but it seems fun. Thanks Hakia for the fun contest! Congrats to all the winners!

Notions of Identity

Greetings from hakia.com!

Dear amazing women of BlogHer,

For starters, congrats to all winners!

I would like to thank to all who gave great feedback  to enter to win this contest. Thank you.

Sarah, Fatfighter and Lara, thank you for your kind words. I hope to meet you in person at the conference. I will wear the same t-shirt minus the hat in the picture here : http://blog.hakia.com/?p=138

Sarah- re: the CD you received. We actually have a band that makes search music- we compose music to search queries:-) Our company band has live gigs in NYC. We thought you might enjoy it along with the t-shirt.

Have a great weekend all!

Cheers,

Ms. Melek Pulatkonak

Shirt: yes. Ability to show it to you: not,
yet.

I won one of the t-shirts! Which is awesome, because I'll need something to keep me warm as I sleep outside...

Quick, someone point me to another contest because I lost my room, can't pay the credit card bill for the pass, and may have to walk there.

But I will look cute in my new shirt. ;)

And, yes, I know I'm co-hosting a party there, but that party does not include the ability to actually get to BlogHer.  Humpf.
