May Day is a name for various holidays celebrated today, May 1st - notably recognized as the first day of spring in pagan times, when young men and women danced and wrapped ribbons around the phallic May-pole to encourage fertility, as well as being observed in Europe as a day to honor labor - but, it also happens to be Blogtipping Day!
What's Blogtipping?
It's where you forget yourself for a few minutes and think about another blogger. It's a win-win.
All you do is this:
Say three nice things and offer one simple tip.
Still confused? Here's an example:
"Hey Johnny, I like your shoes, your hair and your teeth - maybe you could also put on some deodorant!"
See, you've already done this sort of thing your whole life. Why should your blog stay so stiff and serious that you can't go blogtipping once in a while?
So, on Monday, May 1st, please choose three of your favorite bloggers - really, anyone you want to encourage - and give each one a good blogtipping.
I'll start off the festivities by blogtipping three blogs selected randomly (read: close my eyes and point) from the BlogHer's Fashion and Shopping Blogroll:
1. I must admit -- I love the color green! -- your shopping blog is...so...you know...green and the shoes in your showcase (as well as your blogging style) are very, very easy on the eyes!
2. I love your tagline: "Green Shopping for the Greater Good"
3. These Espadrilles are to die for - thanks for the link!
Tip: I've been salivating over most every "shoe" you've ever posted (those orange crocsnot so much!) and I would love to see daily updates - but, then again, wouldn't we all!?!

1. The web design of your blog (and the fact that you're blogging from way over in Bulgaria) totally rocks!
2. It's exciting to see what our female counterparts in Europe think about design and to quote you directly, if I may, "I like very much Tord Boontje's!"
3. You obviously an eye for furniture and have given me a whole new way to look at (and an appreciation for) more a "modern design."
Tip: Keep posting trendy mods and don't forget to comment on your favorite BlogHer blogs!
1. Your masthead - 'nuf said!
2. You have a terrific "blogging presence" and are very witty (and always respectful) in responding to your Q&A's in fashion. For example -- your response to a plus-sized reader, "bigger is better. I always try to explain this to peopleno one knows what size you wear. If it bugs you, clip it [size tag] out!"
3. Your "7 Kitty Commandments" on being an ultimate fashion kitty is pretty sound advice for a kittenum as young as yourself ;o)
Tip: Hats off to you "paying off your fashion debts" and all, but, pleasefor the love of all things warm and fuzzyask that boss of yours to turn on the fuh-roo-king heat!
Have you gone Blogtipping, yet?
It's fun -- not to mention being nice to a fellow blogger is always in fashion -- and I hear it's a whole lot safer than cow tipping!

Thanks so much - I learnt a lot for webdesign in this last month. And thanks for the tips - it will be a pleasure for me to share. I have been eager to hear exactly that - opinions and advice. What kind of trendy mods will be interesting to read about?
