Contributing Editor, Britt Bravo, also blogs at Have Fun * Do Good and NetSquared. Where are the women bloggers of the future? Some of them are participating in girl empowerment programs like Oasis for Girls, that just started a blog. Oasis is a Bay Area nonprofit that creates a safe space for girls and young women ages 10-20 to increase their self-esteem through arts, education and leadership development programs.

GirlSource, also has a blog. They provide low-income and high-school-age girls with meaningful employment and leadership opportunities to help them finish high school, go to college and start a career.

Girls Inc. has created Girls Inc. Online, where girls ages 9-17 can become part of an online community and consequently access Tolu's blog, a blog written by a college-age intern at Girls Inc. headquarters in New York. (I couldn't check out her blog, because you have to be 9-17 to register).

Finally, Mind on the Media created a Turning Beauty Inside Out blog for some of the girls who participated in the 2005 TBIO Girls Leadership Conference. Turn Beauty Inside Out was created by New Moon: the Magazine for Girls and Their Dreams to celebrate positive images of beauty in the media.
