Los Hilos de la Vida blogs the experiences of a group of Latina women learning English and more.
These story quilts began in an Anderson Valley Adult School Evenstart program last year. ...We are learning English and quilting at the same time. All of our quilts tell a story, from the horrors of border crossings to village life in Mexico, family life here in the US and sometimes places we'd like to visit.
These women have little in the way of material things (everything used by this group is donated), yet they manage to communicate in fabric so effectively that they just hung their second group art show!
