I get a lot of (gentle) grief from my better half about my interest in alternative methods of healing. Whenever I mention the Japanese healing technique reiki, he'll wave his hands wildly around me, ask me if I feel better and tell me to pay him a hundred bucks. I do see his point; it could seem like reiki practitioners aren't doing anything, but then again, sometimes it seems like conventional doctors aren't doing anything either and we tend to give their treatments more credence. Since I haven't been treated with reiki (yet), I wanted to see what others were saying about it.
kiamsha.com gives us the 411 on reiki (and some inspirational "helpful reminders").
Embracing The Awkward...One Day at a Time received reiki — or maybe something like it — from a friend after a marathon. Find out if it helped her "Zombie" walk.
jul of the day doesn't discriminate: She also gives reiki to horses.
Need an expert opinion — or two? Wise Choices is the blog of reiki master Mari Hall, self-described as "a previous watcher of life who finally jumped in with both feet" and Next Step Reiki belongs to reiki master Sue Lloyd.
