Allow me to point you to our Day Two schedule, where you will notice something new on the schedule:
BlogHer (and yoga instructor) Mollie Guillemette has offered to lead a free morning yoga session before Day Two gets underway on Saturday morning. The class will start at 7AM and run about 45 minutes. It will overlap slightly with breakfast, but should give participants enough time to change and get some food before our opening session.
Here's a message from Mollie:
I've practiced yoga for 8 years. About 2 years ago, I came to a place where my practice awoke, and I gradually began to make it a more and more important part of my life. This eventually led to my becoming a yoga teacher. I am still very new in my teaching of yoga, but I have a strong desire to learn and share, both of which are important components of yoga. I teach vinyasa yoga, a style of yoga that focuses on the breath in conjunction with movement. The practice that I will lead conference goers through will be gentle and participants don't have to be flexible or very athletic. I will focus on leading us through poses that release tension and open up the chest (I imagine that a lot of people at the conference are folks who spend much of their day hunched over a computer, collapsing their chest in on itself.) If people have a yoga mat, it would be great if they can bring it, but it is definitely not a requirement to have a mat.
I write for one-change, a blog that focuses mostly on the environment and some human rights issues. The blog is meant to inform readers about the environment and human rights issues and supply them with practical and manageable changes they can make to their lifestyle that will make a difference. It's about making one change at a time.
There are a few choices of location to hold the session, so if you're interested please leave a comment here, so we can pick the best space to accommodate the session.
Thanks to Mollie for offering to share her yoga practice with BlogHer!
