I don't know about you, but when I see a headline like that, I just have to read on...
It turns out that the new boyfriend in question is actually an outdoor grill with 4 burners, infrared 12,000 BTU electric rotisserie, 662 square inches of cooking surface, a side burner and procelain coated cast iron grilles belonging to lucky Lynette of Lex Culinaria who likes to feed her new guy delicious sounding dishes like Ginger & Lime Hoisin Pork.
Talking of a good porking, have you ever wondered where good pork comes from? And I mean really good pork, not the stuff you buy at Safeway. Angie at Crazy Salad watched the arrival of two Red Wattle Pigs at a farm where they will be raised by foster teens. The Red Wattle pigs were delivered by Heritage Foods on their 40-day cross country road-trip with two documentarians, Anthony Frattolillo and David Kavanaugh, to interview the chefs, farmers, butchers, sausage-makers, truckers, pit-stop waitresses, authors and unusual personalities.
Do you like to go the whole hog? In that case you might be interested in pork brains, that is until you find out from Alaina at a Full Belly that just one can contains 1,170% of the daily recommended intake of cholesterol for a human being. Ewwww.
Finally Megnut, pointed me in the direction of a good read - an article that's worth pulling from the archives. Meg has renamed the piece how to cure pig's jowl in a small New York apartment.
Oink, oink!
