Your Blog in Print!
by Karen Rani

A while back, I asked my readers what they would recommend I use to print my blog. It is getting quite long and I'm concerned I could, in fact, lose it all.

Krista at The Silent K, offered this link to Two Peas in a Bucket. I might consider this option since the outcome looks more creative then others I've seen. Thanks Krista!

I also found Blog Printing, from QOOP, Inc., takes your blog from Movable Type, Wordpress, or Typepad and offers the options of black and white, or colour printing, in three different sizes. Printing from Blogger is unavailable at this time. To give you an idea of price:

Black and white books cost $7.50 for the first 28 pages, plus 4 cents per page for additional pages. Color books cost $12.00 for the first 28 pages, plus 30 cents per page for additional pages. If you set up an account to resell your blog, you can specify either a percentage or a flat royalty. Any royalties are added to the base cost of the book.

I'm not personally concerned with royalities, but some bloggers might be able to sell their printed blog if it contains valuable information.

Other options include Lulu.com, Print My Blog.com and Blurb. It's all the name of preservation.

Contributing Editor Karen Rani also blogs at Troll Baby and owns Troll Baby Graphics.

AMAZING way to turn your blog into a
scrapbook for your kids!!!

I found an amazing site that will turn your blog into a scrapbook!!  htts://www.scrapbookblogger.com/

On this site you can download your blog, pictures and all, and it turns int into a really cute hardback book to keep!  It was pretty simple to do. I really liked that I could pick the background and layouts that I liked to make it really look like a colorful, fun scrapbook. I plan on getting several printed as gifts for the grandparents too!

Blurb highly recommended!

I don't know about printing a blog specifically using Blurb.com, but I created a hardcover photo album book a while back using their offline book creator, and was blown away by the quality of it. I loved showing it off... everyone was amazed at how professional it looked and felt!

Printer Ink

(In the interest of full disclosure, I work for a printer ink retailer, but we have nothing to do whatsoever with Blurb.com.)  :-)

For LJ users

For those who use Livejournal, there is a free service from LJ Book that will turn your journal into a PDF file, including comments. The only downside is that you cannot exclude private entries from being printed - which is fine for those printing for themselves, not so great if they're looking for distribution.

Thank you Amaya!

That is very helpful information. Thank you!

I want to do this for my kids

Thanks for the links, Karen!

This is the only "baby book" I've ever done for my kids so I've often thought how nice it would be to get it printed.

Can you include pictures in these books, too?

Mary Tsao: to answer your question

On the Blogprinting.com FAQ page, it says as long as they are in certain formats (jpeg, gif, etc,) then they will in fact, render and print properly.

Hi, Karen!

A few weeks ago I had the first year of my blog printed and bound by Blogbinders.com. I wrote a Link Textreview about it on my blog:

Thanks!
