Submissions are Welcome at MiPO: Poetry and Podcasting Back in Business

Amy King announced yesterday on her blog that MiPOesias Magazine is once again open for business. Judging by the 80,000+ visitors this online community poetry magazine has seen in the last 3 months, it's pretty obvious that it is growing in popularity with all walks of life.

Says Amy:

...we’re publishing some of the hottest, most innovative writing going these days. You’ll not find any melted-down odes to trees (though some might be welcome) or poems pining for cowboys down on their luck (okay, that might be a twist too) — what you’ll find are smart writers from all walks of life doing their clever thing, and thankfully, sharing the words (& in many cases, audio of themselves reading their work) with the MiPO audience.

Besides the people being featured on the front page of MiPO, some of the women getting recognition are Gina Myers, with her poem, Behind Closed Doors, and Ann Lederer, with her podcast of Post Trilogy. It is really interesting to hear some artists read their work.

If you're interested in getting published with MiPO, here are the guidelines.

Contributing Editor Karen Rani also blogs at Troll Baby and owns Troll Baby Graphics.
