Kalyn's Kitchen

Kalyn Denny discovered blogging in 2005 when she needed a place to share her recipes online. Now she works full time as a blogger, barely keeping up with Kalyn's Kitchen, her popular food blog that features deliciously healthy low-carb recipes. Kalyn also shares from-scratch slow cooker recipes from other bloggers at her second blog, Slow Cooker from Scratch. Her recipes have been featured on sites all over the web, and she has appeared on panels talking about blogging at BlogHer, BlogHerFood, Camp Blogaway, SXSW, and IACP Conferences.

Before she was a blogger, Kalyn taught elementary school for 30 years and was an active member of her local education association, serving as Vice-President and President of Davis Education Association, and as a board member for the Utah Education Association and the National Education Association.

Kalyn grew up in a family with nine siblings in Bountiful, Utah , and recently moved back to her home town, buying a bigger house so she could host parties for her siblings, 39 nieces and nephews, and 60+ great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her family, Kalyn is passionate about sushi, Scandinavian murder mysteries, cooking, photography, The Good Wife, and Feta cheese, not necessarily in that order.
