BS' In The Kitchen

BS' in the Kitchen is operated by brother & sister cooking duo Bob & Carlene Deutscher. It started as a way to motivate ourselves to cook more often, and try new recipes, but has also given us a platform to learn photography and videography!

Outside of BS' in the Kitchen, Carlene and Bob team up as wedding photographers, with Bob doing wedding videography as well! Both residents of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, Carlene works in marketing & communications for Mosaic Potash, while Bob operates his own media company, doing freelance videography, photography, graphic design, marketing, and more!

Pan Roasted Pork Chop on Potato, Kale, & Broccoli with Pan Gravy

Lately I have been very busy with work, which is great, but being self-employed, it often means I keep very strange hours, without a lot of structure to my day. As a result, my diet gets pretty messed up. Instead of having a work day broken up into 2 breaks and a lunch, I might wake up at 10:00AM one day, work until 4:00 in the morning, then have to get up at 7:00am the next day for a photoshoot, and due to the typical quick turnaround, stay up very lately again editing everything ....more

Fortunately I had a bunch of dough leftover, and some free time, so I went about making some more delicious pizza for the blog ....more

Pumpkin Spice Yogurt & Granola

Continuing my journey into pumpkin spiced everything, I present to you Pumpkin Spice Yogurt & Granola! Although this is more of a breakfast meal, I whipped it up late last night, thanks to midnight snack cravings… I was originally just going to have a little yogurt and granola, when I remembered I had a container of leftover Spiced Pumpkin Mix, from making homemade Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I figured it would probably be delicious in my little snack, so I tried it out, and sure enough it was! ...more
