Simple Beans on Toast

These cannellini beans are dressed up quite simply in this recipe, as the name suggests. They are gently simmered in water with sauteed onions, carrots and celery for about an hour and a half. Once they become creamy the beans are drained and put atop toasted bread with a smear of butter ....more
