Hide

More than ever, bloggers are using their platforms to create change and raise awareness. Online advocacy is on the rise, but when it comes to the unsexy, frightening, hard-to-face issues, there is no one more experienced at fighting for awareness, understanding, and education than Rae Lewis-Thornton. Since the day in 1986 when she was diagnosed with HIV, Rae Lewis-Thornton has been on a mission to drive awareness to and challenge the most common myths and stereotypes surrounding life with full-blown AIDS. She’s taken her story and message to the stage, to print, and now online where she is a digital crusader for those people today living with and dying from HIV, and for the one person every 10 minutes in the US who will be diagnosed with HIV. Interviewed by Jeannine Harvey of ONEmoms, Rae will share her story, her message of hope, community, and education for one of the most-avoided health issues we face today.
