Just some of the BlogHer '06 volunteers

Behold them in all their glory!

The BlogHer '06 Audio Team, led by toy, who was ably assisted by Mr. Feet on the Street Kirk...and a team of volunteer audio-geeks or wanna-be audio geeks.

Truth be told there was much scrambling to get volunteers to step in for volunteers who dropped out up until the actual day of the conference, so to my knowledge this was our final audio team:
Michelle
Nancy
Lauren
Jessica
Elisabeth
Laurie
Kat
Jennifer
Devra
Susan
Elspeth

Not all of whom are pictured.

And the lovely Stephanie and Tamar from ListenShare too!

I'm hoping you will all post your full names (if you use them) and blog URLs in the comments here. (And tell me if I missed any last minute changes!)

In fact, I must thank toy and Kirk that they kept such last-minute changes off my radar and just handled it. Having you guys on the case was a load off!

So, thanks to the audio team...and yes, their handiwork is being worked on and is on its way.

It was good to meet you and ride on the party bus with you and have you do my panel's audio and stuff.

a big thanks to everyone

But especially to Toy,

Who pulled this whole audio thing together under some last minute circumstances which would have broken a lesser women.

Don't know how to thank all you enough

Seriously. Words fail me. What an amazing group. And how appropriate to have all you amazing women joined by Karl and Kirk, two of the many men who have supported and worked on BlogHer in the past year.

So - huge, huge mushy love.

And Toy, in further testament to my affection for you, I never did give up any of those stories we have from college. You can thank me later. Heh.

That's me...

and my orange shoes (the closest I'm going to come to Blogher shoe fame, so I'm taking it) on the far left. I probably knocked y'all down to park myself next to toy, so I'm sorry, but I couldn't help it. She dealt with varying levels of recording knowledge and every single curve ball with humor and kindness - not to mention technical knowledge most befitting of an action star/snowboarder. She doesn't have a blog but if she did, it'd be fascinating, I'm sure.

I was so lucky to meet the great people on this team and beyond through this experience, to have some conference partners in crime that I wouldn't have otherwise, and to really and truly learn a new skill. Scored, on all levels. Thanks.

The unofficial volunteers, too.

Just want to include props to Denise. Without her flying fingers on conference day, I'd have had no real impression of what was happening at BlogHer.

My pleasure

It was fun, the chatters had interesting perspectives and I'm a chataholic who never gets to chat. :-)

Also...

It was also great when you were able to share the chatters' questions with the panels. Hopefully this will be woven in at next year's conference. We'll just have to clone you, Denise, so you can cover every session. ;-)

everyone is so swell

cant say much more than that

it was a real pleasure
and thanks for being good sports
see you next year???

btw the topic of next years training session:
the perfect roundhouse kick

round house kick

I would think learning some parkour techniques would be much more helpful for those times when the mics aren't working and some poor podcaster crew member has to maneuver a roomful of tables, chairs, people, candy, cables, shoes, and schwag to get to you.

;-)

parkour is supercoolio shit

i think im too chicken for it

anyone see district 13 (movie)?
