Hello to all! I am a single mother with 4 kids, ranging in ages from 6 to 15, and I work more than full-time right now trying to start up a company with my sister, as an internet marketing consultant, and as a website designer (though somehow I'm not earning any money yet, LOL). I'm hoping to make some great connections here, learn some new stuff, and have fun. Thanks!Sandrawww.DailyOrg.comOrganization for Life...more

I am the community manager for Border Stylo. If you'd like to learn more about our company, check out our website. We are looking for a Sr. Product Engineer, which might mean nothing to most people, except to the person we are looking for. The person we are looking for is the positive-minded rebel stuck in a lethargic, albeit successful bureaucracy, the lead engineer tired of having to manage bosses (and their ridiculous expectations) more than team members. The person we are looking for actually reads our entire lengthy job ad!...more

Congressman Schiff is meeting with folks at the Alhambra Public Library on Tuesday August 11, 2009 between 7pm to 8:30pm.
If you have an interest in health care, photo opportunities (I hear there may or may not be a planned disruption) or want to see your fellow citizens in action you might want to stop by.
I understand and respect that some of you do not like the health care proposals that have been presented. I also know that there is a tremendous amount of misinformation and disinformation.
I spoke with Michael from Zona Rosa Caffe in Pasadena (looks like a fabulous place!). He's 95% sure he can host our meet-up there. What I need to know though is how many people are going to attend. He wants to make sure to have enough staff to accomodate our group. If you plan on coming, please let me know here!
Based on responses and emails, I've decided to plan our Pre BlogHer meetup on Saturday, June 13th. Time will be early. 10-11ish. Now, I just have to secure a place. What I want to know from you all is would you prefer a park setting where we bring our own food/drink. Or something like a coffee shop/restaurant? Decision, time/place will be made my Tuesday.
I'm truly excited to see you on the 13th. :)
I'll go first. My name is Yvonne, I blog at Joy Unexpected. I live about 40 miles east of LA. I've been married for 18 years and have 3 children-- a 16 year old son, an almost 12 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. (I know, awesome planning with the spacing between kids!) I am a producer for BlogHerAds. I love photography, reality TV and googling various health symptoms on the internet to prove my doctors wrong. You can also find me on Twitter @joyunexpected.
When: June 13th (but we can do it on the 6th as well.)
Where: Somewhere where we can do a casual, family friendly meet up in LA. We can do potluck style or just meet up for coffee/drinks. I'm open for suggestions at this point.
Time: Again, open to suggestions.
Please don't hold back with the suggestions!
