So did anyone watch American Idol tonight? Along with the entertainment of the new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler there were a few young contestants that caught my ear. Robbie Rosen, 16, sang Yesterday, with his own arrangement and did a wonderful job. However, the Southern Belle from North Carolina 16 year old Victoria Huggins won my heart when she tried to win Randy's heart. Looking at him with those big beautiful eyes in her natural southern accent she said " Yo Yo Dawg"....more
Has anyone had a book published? Did you do self-publishing? If so, which company did you use? How was your experience? I'm considering having a children's book self-published but have heard it might ruin the crediblity of the book because I had to do it myself. Anyone know anything? Thanks
I was raised in Atlanta and only visit a few times a year now. I may relocate back there sometime in the future. But I figured I would post a link to my blogs. I'm always interested in ATL bloggers because my family is still there and they can use a lot of the info. I am new to this group and fairly new to the blogging community. I write http://subourbonwife.com, a blog about the daily rants and gratitude from a stay-at-home mom who left rehab a couple of years ago and is rethinking her life. Please check out my blog if you have the chance and need a chuckle. I would love to get some feedback or suggestions from more experienced bloggers, and I am interested in meeting my fellow Atlantan bloggers!Subourbon Wife http://subourbonwife.com...more
I have lived in Atlanta most of my life and am new to blogging! I would love to connect with some of you! Is there going to be another meet up soon? I noticed that the last one was awhile ago. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

Here are the final details for the BlogHer meetup on June 13th:
2770 Lenox Road
Atlanta, GA 30324
Time: 1pm - 3pm
Food: Available for purchase
I hope to see you there! I know a few of you can't make it but I will be there with bells on! I look just like my picture, you can't possibly miss me. The meeting room is in the back of the restaurant!
Based on the responses, the BlogHer MeetUp will be held on Saturday, June 13th from 1pm - 3pm. I am still trying to secure a venue and wanted to choose a place that was convenient.
There is no budget for the affair so I thought that going to Pizzeria Venti in Buckhead on Lenox Road might be a good idea. There is a meeting room there, food and beverages are available at reasonable prices and if you need to bring child along, pizza seems like a good option.
My name is Renée, I live in Decatur, Georgia and I am the administrator of this group. I am the author of Cutie Booty Cakes, a personal blog that I initially started to promote my diaper cake business (a great babyshower gift by the way). I soon discovered that writing and the blogging community are my passion and I rarely talk about my business anymore. I have been blogger since July 2008 and believe I joined BlogHer the week I began blogging. I am currently a Mommy and Family Contributing Editor for BlogHer.
I remember my first meet-up with Atlanta BlogHers last October. It was amazing. I had the opportunity to meet BlogHers "in real life" that I read on a regular basis and many that I met for the first time. I still keep in touch with many of these women; we stop by each others blogs occasionally, tweet together and sometimes meetup. A good number of us will be attending the BlogHer 09 Conference that is appropriately themed "In Real Life." Unbelievably BlogHer 09 is less that 90 days away!
