Gabriela De Cicco of Pont Des Arts muses on blog comments: Comentar o no comentar?. Which posts get the most comments? Do personal blogs have the talkiest readers? She also suggests that people take a look at information about comment tracking tools like cocomment. (I've been testing Convo Tracker lately, and like it - and only just started hearing about these tools at BlogHer and then the recent BrainJam.)

In other recent posts to Pont des Arts, De Cicco discusses the war in Beirut, a literary conference in Buenos Aires, war and children, women and water rights, women against the war in the Middle East, Thomas Pynchon, and How to improve your wifi reception with a steamer basket - with a link to complete instructions at Instructables.

In response to the Blogher conference, Gabby answered ""¿De qué manera están cambiando tus blogs tu mundo?" - How are your blogs changing your world? -

A quick answer would be: incredibly. They challenge my creativity and my capacity for reading and synthesis. They have strengthened my activism: my own visibility as a lesbian and making other lesbian culture be visible, thought about, and known. The creation of community, without telling us how it should be, but coming into being, between bloggers who are lesbians, feminists, writers. Recognition of my work in other places: more male and female readers for my writing.

Then Gabby went on to say nice things about me, but I was too shy to comment.

Contributing Editor Liz Henry also blogs at othermag and Badgermama.
