The Associated Press reports a former Petaluma schoolteacher, arrested in Bangkok, has admitted to killing 6-year-old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey.
Thai Lt. Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul said Karr insisted after his arrest that his crime was not first-degree murder. "He said it was second-degree murder. He said it was unintentional. He said he was in love with the child. She was a pageant queen."
The 41-year-old will face charges of murder, kidnapping and child sexual assault in Colorado. He is expected to be taken to Boulder, Coloroado within the next week.

I don’t feel “bad� about what I’ve written or ashamed that I suspected Patsy. I hate that the whole thing happened.
Karr confessed, and if his DNA matches whatever DNA was found at the crime scene, then that’s it. I’m not the Ramsey family’s judge and jury. I’m in the court of public opinion, and based on what I knew about the case, guilt pointed toward the mother. If it turns out the Bangkok freak actually murdered the child, that means my speculations were wrong. But I don’t regret making those speculations.�
