Luke 24:31-36  Theologian Aidan Kavanagh wrote that in the church, we don't offer "solution but sacrament and mercy to the human condition.  The church always invites people home, aw it were, where soup still simmers on the back of the stove--in from the cold of impersonal "process" to the simple warmth of a dinner a mong friends--human and divine.  Here there are no bottom lines--only laughter and good red wine, mutual gentleness and mercy and forgiveness for all. Deo Gratias! Thanks be to God!
