I was recently searching for examples of nonprofit vlogs for a NetSquared post called, "Is Your Nonprofit on YouTube?" and started thinking, I wonder who the nonprofit women vloggers are. So far, I haven't been able to find any.

If you know of one, please point me to her.

Hi Ryanne,

Thanks for commenting on this post. I went to your workshop at BlogHer and actually did my first vlogging experiment ( http://havefundogood.blogspot.com/2006/08/its-not-... ) based on my notes from your class and am literally just about to order your book ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0321429176/ref=as... ).

Kay Sprinkel Grace asked the question recently at the Craigslist Nonprofit Boot Camp, “Why are we the only sector in the economy that calls itself by what it is not? I'm actually looking for women vloggers who are vlogging for or about nonprofits and NGOs, rather than women vloggers who aren't making a profit (:

That is GREAT that you are training nonprofits how to vlog. Please send me the URLs of women in nonprofits or NGOs who are doing this work so I can promote them here and on NetSquared ( http://www.netsquared.org/blog/britt-bravo ).

I've seen this vlog title ( http://havemoneywillvlog.com/ ) floating around, but never checked it out. Very cool project!

You're right about checking blip.tv and ourmedia.org. I did a quick search of blip the other day, but should give it another pass. And silly me for not including you among the nonprofit women bloggers. Sometimes we forget to look at what is right in front of us.

what do you mean non-profit vloggers?
there are a lot of vloggers who don't do this for money...is that what you mean?
i run several sites and don't make a dime.
one of which is freevlog.org ( http://freevlog.org ), the other is actually mentioned in the above comment Have Money Will Vlog ( http://havemoneywillvlog.com ). The vlogger that Karen linked to happens to be my sister who is taking a trip across the country to educate folks about sustainabity. My partner in crime, Jay Dedman and I just moved to San Francisco and have started teaching Non-Profits how to start vlogging, but not through YouTube. Through creating blogs and using Blip.tv ( http://blip.tv ). If that's what you mean. I'm not sure. several people forwarded me this link so i thought i'd respond. Cheers!

I did a few vlog posts on nonprofits - but I'm just closet, nonprofit vlogger dabbler!

I asked the same question a year ago -- only where are the nonprofit vloggers:

I went trolling through YouTube with the same question the other day and didn't find them. We need to check blip.tv and ourmedia.org as well - some of the women vloggers may not appreciate the YouTube licensing ...

I did find one sort of nonprofit or social blogger - Eath - from Cambodia. She's actively blogging but you can see her site and learn about her life from a really old interview of mind over a year and half ago!
