Getting Ready For Baby?

As soon as my husband and I returned from our honeymoon in May, the questions started. "So when are you going to have a baby?" "Is it baby time yet?" "How 'bout them Red Sox ... and are you pregnant yet or what?"

Knowing when you can and when you should

The other day I was reading my friend Erin’s blog, and she talked about how she took her son to his friend’s third birthday party.  She was surprised to discover that this three year old had received a go kart for his birthday, and being a good mom, she was a little nervous about letting her son ride in the go kart that was being driven by the three year old.

You can’t go back

Recently we were hanging out with friends who have two young sons (the youngest of which is actually one week older than Nate), and we got to talking about whether either of us wanted to have more children.  Our friends feel like their family is complete with their two boys, and I said that I would definitely like to have more children.  I said I had always wanted to have children

Timing Is Everything: The Care And Feeding Of Your Marketing Efforts

I read an article on StartUpNation.com (http://www.startupnation.com/articles/1613/1/customer-holiday-pain-point...) about how to up your sales during the holiday season.  It wisely suggested trying to ease your customers' traditional holiday 'pain points'--inconvenience, stock shortages, stress, overspending--by focusing on programs or services designed to provide relief in those specific areas.  Smart.

Finding Time To Sign

Finding Time To Sign

As a busy SAHM with 2 very young children, I find life is quite hectic at times. I sometimes wish I had more hours in the day to do my chores or read a book, but I mostly wish I could find time to sign with my girls. I believe in all that sign language as to offer my toddler and baby in regards to language development. As a baby sign language instructor, I remind my participants that practicing sign language with your baby is a great bonding experience (if nothing else).

Youth Culture is Going Online

While parents are quite comfortable with their kids going online for research, they're not so thrilled with the digital social scene.  According to a new study on youth and media by University of California (Berkeley) and University of Southern California, youths feel quite the opposite.  The majority of young people use the internet for "hanging out."  They're still doing what we all did when we were kids - talking gossip, music, movies (anything too cool for adults) - but are now using new media to do it.
