Now it's official! According to a recent study, in order for women to lose weight we have to exercise more than men! NO FAIR!

For my husband and me, cooking isn't a chore, it is a task we both enjoy.  As we like to make meals at home, we often discuss meal ideas and new recipes.  Our children typically are interested in our meal conversations, as they want to know what they will be eating.

Depending upon the menu (and possibly social options), the kids will ask to assist with meal preparation.  Unless there is an absolute time crunch, we gladly accept that offer.

What does it mean that three of the four candidates for leadership of the U.S. either come from or are elected officials from the Western States?   Changes that folks knew would occur in the future are happening now.   Welcome to the future.  

OK, I promised all of you something more substantial to feast your
little minds on, so today I am going to share with you my experience of
LIVING WITH MY IN-LAWS. Mind you, this story is not for the weak of
heart or stomach and if you are prone to anxiety attacks, you might

Princess Bubble Doesn’t Need Prince Charming to Live Happily Ever After

There’s a new fairy tale princess in town: Princess Bubble.

Before you roll your eyes, however, I should note that Princess Bubble is different from other princesses: she ain’t no damsel in distress, and she don’t need to be rescued.

Wow. Things are happening fast. I barely had a chance to collect my thoughts regarding Barack Obama's speech last night. Now I wake up to find that Senator McCain has selected and announced his running mate: Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. The McCain camp didn't waste a minute - they sought to trump Obama's glory by taking over the news, and perhaps they did. At any rate, if the democrats had hoped to soak up the joy of a spectacular and moving convention for a day or two, we were mistaken.

What is your idea of "happily ever after?" That is the concept that I struggle with when reading fairy tales to my daughters. I try to convey to them that BEFORE I met their father and got married I was living "happily ever after." He was just icing on the (wedding) cake. I tell them, they can find fulfilling lives of travel, careers and good friends without or before marriage.
