Obama's off-color remarks
By shepublican on July 10, 2012
Obama released a video asking for the support of the black community in the election. The takeaway: Vote for me because I’m like you.
This, from the same president who (correctly) said:
“There is not a liberal America and a conservative America – there is the United States of America. There is not a black America and a white America and Latino America and Asian America – there's the United States of America.”
But, you can’t have it both ways. If you don’t want race to be an issue stop making it an issue.
Let’s honor the plight of the black community by electing candidates for their ideas and platforms – not the color of their skin.
I may not have voted for BO but I respect him and see him as the leader of my country – not as a black man.
And for the record, the same standard applies to women.
Don’t ask for my vote because my “plumbing” matches yours. Earn my vote with bold ideas, vision and a willingness to collaborate.
Bottom-line: I don’t care if you’re black, white, brown or yellow. I don’t care if you stand or sit to pee. I do care about my country and as a candidate, what you will do to restore its greatness.
