Oddly enough...Day 8

I know...most people start a weightloss journal on Day 1, or even the day or week before Day 1 to preface the journal.  I am not like most people.  In fact, that is an understatement as well!

Anyway, While writing, or avoiding writing, the last paper for my last class to complete my BS in Psychology I was out of control.  Since July 7th, I had gained 13lbs!  Not acceptable.  So I decided to try the ultra low carb "reset your pancrease" 8-week plan featured in First magazine's Nov 16, 2009 issue. 

So, I am on Day 8 and I am down 8.5lbs.  The amazing part of this is that I was PMSing wildly all week!  And still managed to lose 8.5lbs!  I know!!

I am not going to post pics or measurements or the actual number, just the amount lost.  My current plan is to lose 33.5 lbs by Christmas.  So, I am off to a good start. 

I am craving carbs!  I walked by the hot foods bar at the grocery store and the mac and cheese was begging me to bring home a bowl of cheesy salty goodness.  But I resisted.  I have committed to this for at least 8 weeks.  After that time I will see how I am feeling and how it is going and perhaps renew my committment for another 8 weeks. 

I really am the worst when it comes to being disciplined to write in these things, but I will try to write at least 3 times  a week.
