Facial Hair Removal. I know I can't possibly be the only new mom (can I still call myself a "new" mom 16 months in?) that struggles with finding time for maintenance. I'm not afraid to admit the behind-the-scenes actions I take to feel feminine and beautiful on a daily basis. The steps I take to prevent sweat, smell, and yes, unwanted facial hair. Every two weeks I pull out my tube of smelly white cream and slather it over my upper lip. I hate it; it stinks, it often causes redness and breakouts, and usually leaves that part of my face numb for the rest of the day. Not an enjoyable act, but it gets the job done. Read more

I have been dealing with unwanted facial hair for 15 years. I have tried just about everything to make it go away: waxing, plucking, cremes, gels, and recently laser hair removal treatments. I went to six laser treatments with the understanding that if might not be successful due to the majority of my facial hair being of the light variety. It hurt like the dickens. I'm not sure the exact meaning of "the dickens", but I'm pretty sure it might mean MORE THAN CHILD BIRTH. And it didn't even work. Hair removal FAIL. Read more
