Dear Shonda,

I have considered writing this letter to you for a while now. It's been bouncing around in my head for months. And now, with the fall season approaching, I have found that I have composed my list of the shows I'm looking forward to. Grey's Anatomy is not on that list. Shonda, I'm one of Those Consumers. I don't like to just walk away; I like to tell you why I'm walking away. So here it is. My letter to you about Grey's Anatomy.

...I'm still addicted. That beautiful ending scene with Christina in the wedding dress made up for a lot. Really though, I just want Meredith to be happy for awhile. Shortly after the finale came out I posted this list:

In the past year, Meredith has 1) dated her boss; 2) found out said boss was married; 3) almost gotten blown up; 4) slept with numerous inappropriate men, including one of her bff's George; 5) started to be happy with McVet; 6) which got all messed up when she had sex with McDreamy at prom; 7) had an appendectomy; 8) broke up with McVet for McDreamy; 9) met her Dad, Fake Mom, and Half-Sisters; 10) found out all about the Thatcher-Ellis-the Chief love triangle; 12) been told she was only "ordinary" by her mother; 13) almost drowned; 14) had a near death experience; 15) had her mother die; 16) started building a relationship with her Dad and Fake Mom; 17) only to have Fake Mom die; 18) and Dad slap her....(Did I forget anything?)....and that's not counting any of the crap she's lived through vicariously with her friends.

Enough is enough already!

You're right on target. And what I despise is listening to the podcasts with Shonda and the other writers where they talk about WHY they are making the show cow dung, and they have a plan, and this is the right thing. The LOST writers do this too, and while they did redeem themselves in the season finale, that doesn't make up for the fact that viewers left in droves this season. If we're complaining, we're the ones who will turn off our sets, and then it all goes downhill.

Seriously. I've never watched GA and don't plan to start but I clicked into her post and loved it. I can totally see myself writing this type of letter to a producer... oh wait, I have written that type of letter to a producer. Hehe.

I have given up on GA too. For all the reasons you posted. My new show of choice is Glenn Close's Damages on FX now that show is FABULOUS! Oh, back to GA--you are on point!
