One of my biggest foes in life is....MY CLOSET!
When I was a single lady, my closet was a source of peace for me. I loved it. I had two separate closets separated by a cute little wall whose job it was to creatively display my baseball caps. It was perfect.
Then when I married and my hubby and I had to SHARE a closet. Needless to say, life changed - having to share a closet with a "boy". Suddenly, his space was my space and my space crept into his space and chaos ensued. I must admit that my new obsession with handbags doesn't help the problem one bit.
Happy Days Are Here Again
But there is light at the end of my closet tunnel. It's not a new gadget (although I found a new one to try) but more of a new outlook on all things closet. I have decided that organization is in the eyes of the beholder.
For instance, my handbags are stacked on a closet shelf and that works for me. I
t may not look neat to the naked; but it's the epitome of order to me. You see, each bag is completely visible and the larger bags are housing the smaller bags and wallets. I know where everything is at a glance. It' works.
As for my shoes, I purchased some of those clear containers from the Dollar Tree and organized the entire close for 35 bucks! It may look like mayhem to my mom, but for me, it's a sweet order.
My husband isn't crying either...well, he might when he sees my new handbag additions. I brought four over the weekend.
I may try this "Pack a Purse" organizing system soon. Not sure if I should "mess" with perfection or not. Any other tips?
