Painting the Town Blue and White: High Point Market April 2013

Before I get to my post on blue and white, I wanted to give a shout out to Legrand.  Legrand donated id="mce_marker",000.00 to the ASID Foundation during their Adorne, CEU and custom wall plate covers, event at Metro Lighting Showroom in St. Louis.

So thank you Legrand for the donation to a great organization!!

A timeless, classic color combination that I love, blue and white, was seen everywhere this High Point Market.  As I mentioned before that blue and white never goes out of style, and every year the designs using this color scheme gets better and better!

I believe that since Pantone announced Monaco Blue as one of its Spring 2013 color trends, that has been a reason why I saw so many showrooms showcase this classic color scheme.  There is a casual elegance about blue and white that makes you feel right at home--a calm, soothing appeal.  There is also a beautiful blend with the contrasting colors, that makes you feel warm and happy.

So will we be seeing even more of this classic color scheme?  I believe so!  As they say, what we see at market, trickles down into the homes (just like fashion and the runway).  And I for one, look forward to seeing more of the classic blue and white color scheme in interior design.  What about you, are you a fan?
