Pandora’s Vagina: Humor, Honesty, and Writing to Remember

I read a story at the BlogHer 2009 Community Keynote about having a tampon stuck in my vagina. For the next three days, I had HUNDREDS of discussions with women saying the same thing had happened to them, or relating some kind of story about their body, favorite personal stories, equally embarrassing moments or their greatest personal triumphs. Gwen Bell (www.gwenbell.com) said I opened Pandora’s Vagina…yet none of the stories these women told me appeared on their own personal blogs.  

When you write your posts, are you writing to remember your favorite moments, or just to fill a space?  Do you want your blog to help you tell the story of your life? Can a blog even be a productive tool in helping you tell the story of your life?

The panel will share tips on how to share your life story without publishing a memoir, what to expect when you share your life with a community, and how to stop worrying and love your own voice.
