Part 16, Cancer Sucks

She didn't come back to college until after the spring semester. I had my own small, studio apartment I was living in and she wanted to live near me. Her mom liked that idea also, so I could keep an eye on Jill in case she needed help or ended up getting sick again. It was nice having our own places, but so nice having my best friend right around the corner from me. She spent a lot of the summer at her parent's house, but we had a lot of fun times. I will never forget my birthday that year. She knew I had never been to the Wisconsin Dells so she decided to take me there for my birthday. We had a nice drive there, blasting show toons and Taylor Swift music and singing along. I remember that she always complained that her singing voice had changed since she got sick again and had to completely relearn the skills she had before. I didn't mind, I just enjoyed having fun with her. I didn't take any moments for granted with her, especially with how often she had gotten sick.

Such a sad story. I still miss her dearly. Here's to another successful story time Sunday!!! Thanks for all the support!!! Until next time, readers :)
