Peanut Butter, Passports, and Epinephrine

I'm a wanderer who loves to immerse myself in different cultures through travel and cuisine. I enjoy cooking everything from the most sophisticated five course meal to the simplest grilled cheese sandwich cut into dinosaurs for my little ones. I'll take a classic recipe and put my own spin on it. Jazz it up and make it my own. I savor natural and authentic ingredients, and I have great respect and appreciation for the countries, land, and people who cultivate the food I eat. I love to travel through food. Like opening a bottle of Cabernet from Tuscany; you can taste the fertile earth, smell the rich air, feel the torrential rain in every sip. I'm also a Mom whose world was turned upside down when my youngest child suffered anaphylaxis after eating a bit of peanut butter cookie. Now I'm navigating the dangerous waters of raising, feeding, and traveling with a child who has severe food allergies.
