While I never much thought about fancy things before, I went from wearer of cotton and beads to lover of lace and crystal as soon as that rock rounded my finger. Pearls, especially, I've been particularly drawn to. Gone are the days when wearing pearls was reserved for tea parties and playing dress up. Now, for me, they signify all that is beautiful about being a woman. Maybe it's their opalescent shine or the classiness they embody. While the diamond tells the world that "somebody loves me," I think the pearl puts out a message that says "I love myself!" And right now it's whispering, "You're getting married. You're a woman! Add me to every bit of your wedding day look!" Pushy little suckers. How can I refuse?
