Full Disclosure: I've never had a problem with prostitution. If you can get paid for doing something, then more power to you.
Marie Claire is okay with prostitution as well, based on their interview with Holly Hill, a former high-end mistress. In it Hill shares the secrets to her dubious success in the original work-at-home profession (dubious because she only did it for six months...and was paid less by her "sugar daddies" than most starting salaries for recent college graduates). Ranging from the practical side of high-end prostitution (buy your clients wine to relax them, don't worry about underwear since - once they're relaxed I presume - they will tear it off of you) to some of the most whacked out perversions of feminism since Sarah Palin started babbling about "mama grizzlies."
Some of Hill's questionable life lessons:
- Contrary to the New York Times' opinion that 'men are neutered,' men, in fact, are such sexual creatures that they must have mistresses
- If you don't feel like having sex, just think of it as exercise and focus on breathing and clenching your pelvis
- It's okay if your significant other goes to a strip club because then you might get a new handbag or dress - and he was going to go whether you liked it or not.
- If you sleep with a married man be sure to tell his wife, "Thanks for the loan"
- Teenage boys are unscrupulous... because of the influence of testosterone
- You don't have to be beautiful to be a prostitute - just sexy.
