The Wild West of social media can be a dag-tootin' mess for politicians, celebrities and corporations who are used to having a barrier between themselves and the unwashed masses. I say it's all good, clean fun. Or ... in the case of BP and their fake PR agency, um, well. You'll have to see for yourself.
Recently George W. Bush got himself on Facebook and Twitter.
Or rather, he got someone on Twitter, someone who refers to George W. Bush in third person.

Thank God BlogHer Political Director Erin Kotecki Vest (@queenofspain) was there to alert the proper authorities. A Twitbomb ensued. Poor George.

Thankfully for George, he's following some people who know how to use social media.

The fake BP PR account (@BPGlobalPR) has 113,000 members and is raising money for Healthy Gulf by selling BP Cares t-shirts and firing off politically incorrect tweets such as these:
