The phrase "working mother" is redundant. ~Jane Sellman

Moms, isn't this the truth? We work, work, work, whether it's in the home, in our career, or in both places full-time! It's always full-time. We were snowed in last week, school was shut down, offices were closed, and all we could do was be home together. That was awesome, of course!! However, I realized on the day I returned to work, that I was actually getting a break! Ha ha.

I attended a women's gathering at church last night. The group is comprised of mom's with babies, teens, and even adult children. One of the biggest points we came up with was that a lot of us had no hobby! Our kids' hobbies are our hobbies. We run from soccer practice, to pre-school, to bedtime stories, to Gymboree. I really could not answer that question when it was asked of me. I know what I LOVE to do, and that is Writing and sometimes Facebook... But I don't often find the time to accomplish these things, so I don't call them hobbies!

Moms this Valentine's Day, I am promising myself to declare a hobby for myself and to devote a few hours a week to participating... now, where in the world am I going to produce "a few hours a week" to spare? Now, that's another good question!
