Picture Won't Update

I cannot, after twenty attempts, get my profile photo to update. I have deleted the old one but it's not even giving me an error message for the new one (which is well within size constraints). It simply will not upload.

Help?

Hey Jenna

When you go to your account settings page, you have to select the box that says "delete photo" and then scroll down and save.

Then you have to go back to the account settings page and upload the new photo. The photo must be no smaller than 160 x 160 and really huge photos will not upload (look at your photo in a graphics program and make sure it is expanded to full size - if it's huge, resize it so that the "smallest side" is 160 and save - then attempt the upload again.)

If you have done all that, then you must try the magic trick. Abracadabra.... hold down the CTRL (or apple) key as you reload your browser. The new image should appear in your profile.

A Tip! & Emailing You

You may want to write on the information under the upload screen that you have a minimum as well as a maximum. The previous picture I was trying to upload was a crop of only 132x132.

However, I'm still emailing you because even at 190x191, it is NOT uploading. Too frustrated to continue.

It's your cache

If you see the old photo, just do the magic trick to clear the cache. Trust me, it will stop doing it once the old one is completely cleared from your cache.

Same Problem

Ack! Having similiar problem. I cannot get my new profile pic to upload. I erased old pic, and then I tried to upload new pic. It's not too small, not too big... and I even tried to submit the new pic while holding the control key. Any other suggestions?

When I look at your profile, I see an image. I don't know if it is the old one or the new one. Can you go to your profile here:

and if you don't see an image or the right image hold down the ctrl key (or the apple key) and while doing so click the reload/refresh button on your browser.

Hmm

I have a different problem - it keeps telling me that my upload is not, in fact, an image file. I've explained to it patiently several times that YES IT IS AN IMAGE FILE but it won't listen.

I'll go try the 'magic' and see if that works.
