Pillowcase Cleans Ceiling Fan Blades
By Cindy@Magnifazine on March 31, 2014
The top of ceiling fan blades are a breeding ground for dust mites and circulates them into your home's air with each rotation. As we all know, dust mites are notorious for causing wheezing, tight chests and coughing to people who have allergies or are asthmatic. The absolute best way to clean the top of the blades is to place an old pillowcase over the entire blade and pull it off, while wiping all the dust into it. Close the pillowcase opening immediately and take it outside and shake it off. Then wash it alone, turned inside out, in steaming hot water and dry it on the highest setting of your dryer. You'll be amazed how much cleaner the air in your home will be.
