Plastic Moons

Windy thoughts and plastic moons

Broken promises and a letter of doom

Sunsets fall and rainy hearts

Storms rush in and we depart

Swept away upon a cloud

Thundered anger very loud

Stars awash and clear the sky

Time keeps on passing by

Slowly my heart starts to mend

When he comes storming in

No more storms are for me

Plastic moons are history

My heart glows with new light

Sunshine skies shining bright

And no more falling sunsets

And no more letters of reject

Drift on by with your cloud

I don’t want you

I am too proud

Standing tall in the sun

Sunbeams glittering as you run

Crescent moon smiles for me

Plastic moons are history
